~ Volunteers ~

The following volunteers have always been associated with the success of the SSS. They were, and continue to be, the driving force behind the school:

Batoul El Bashir El Rayah: Co-founder & Head of School since 1991.
Wafa Mahmoud Hussein Co-founder in 1991 & voluntary teacher up to 1996.
Amna El Bagir : Deputy Head since 1991.
Ahmed Bedri: Treasurer ( 1991-1994) Gen. Secretary ( 1995-1998) Funding Adviser ( 1999- 2003) Assistant Sec( Grants ) 2004/2005.-
Ahmed El Dawi : Chair (1998- 2003 )… Administrative Adviser ( 2004/2005 )
Rod Usher : Hon. Educational Adviser & Voluntary teacher ( GCSE English Language & Literature ).Rod was the first VSO teacher of English at Khor Taggat High Secondary School , Sudan in 1963.
Hasabseeda Badri: Part-time Co-ordinator ( 2000 -2003). Voluntary teacher ( GCSE Arabic) since 1994.

Mohamed Ahmed Hireika ; Chair ( 1995-1998 ).Member of “ The Way Ahead” appraisal panel .
Nadir Elgadi : Treasurer ( 1995-1998). Member of ‘ The Way Ahead “panel. Generous financial support on various cultural occasions.
Abdel Bagi Omran : Deputy Sec.{1994-1997)- Treasurer ( 1998-2003) Accounts Adviser ( 2004/2005).
Mohamed Mukhtar: Deputy Treasurer (2oo1-2004 ) Finance Secretary.
Nadia Ibrahim Nour : First Chair, Parents Committee ( 1991-1994)
Azza Abdel Magid : First General Secretary ( 1991-1994)
A good number of spirited teachers and parents have contributed immensely to the development of the School. To name but a few of them :
Mahmoud Ibrahim Idris ( 1991-2002) Due to work, has moved to Cambridge.
Hanan Babiker ( 1994-2004) Supervising reception & nursery classes.
3-Captain Marwan El Tom Musa.( Sports coach/ 1995-2003 ).Transferred overseas.
Nour Hassan Saeed : Voluntary teacher in charge of Higher classes.
Nadir Ramzi Hassan : Music/ folklore tutor.
Other Volunteers who served on the Management Committee included :
*****Dr. Huda Hassan, Omer Abulgasim, Ahmed Gorashi Idris, Mahmoud Ibrahim Idris, Siham Ali Awadalla, Abdel Hameed ELAmin Wafa Bashir Hassan, Khalid Babiker Yahia. { 1991-1994}. Parents Committee members who took over since July 1994 included:

*** Hafiz Ismail , Ali Tilib and Gareeballa Mohamed helped the School a lot with the accounts before the appointment of Messers Youssuf &Co as auditors in the year 2000.

*** Mutaz Badawi, Abdel Moniem Jawhar,Fathi Mohamed Osman, Hassan Abu zeid,Ali Elbadawi , Sami ElMak and Hafiz Kheir were always ready to provide their expertise in graphics ,design , calligraphy ,filming or photography.
