The Sudanese Supplementary School was established as a small mother-tongue class in September 1991.Its first base was at the Hallfield Primary School, Queensway. In 1994 , it was registered as a supplementary school with the Charity Commission-No. 1040959 and moved due to expansion to North Westminster School Upper House, London W2. And in 1998 with enrollment exceeding 300 pupilsv we found our current premises courtesy of City of Westinster College, Paddington Green. We are grateful to all of them for their unfailing co-operation over the years.
Sudanese School offers professional teaching to children from the Sudanese community in Westminster and some neighbouring local education authoritiers, as well as providing an important network for parents and families, many of whom are new to life in London. The school operates on 36 Saturdays throughout term each academic year.
Lessons start at 10am, there is a 30 minute break for lunch and lessons end at 2pm , for music and sports activities to take place until 4pm. There are a full range of lessons in English, Maths, Arabic and Cultural Studies.
Music is now part of the curriculum: cultural events and sports activities are organised regularly; there are occasional lectures for parents and friends on Sudanese history and aspects of art, music and culture from Sudan.
Annual General Report (2005/2006)
The AGM for the year 2005/2006 was held at 11.00 a.m. on Saturday 25 November 2006 at the City of Westminster College, Paddington Green, London W2. It was attended by 78 parents, teachers and class assistants, members of the Parents Management Committee and friends of the school.
The final day of school was marked by a cultural celebration on Saturday 1st July 2006. GSE Awards, sports medals and trophies were presented to pupils by three prominent educationists from Khartoum. Families and friends were treated to a joyful afternoon of music, folklore by the pupils band and a group invited by our partners, the " Children Victims of Poverty."

- Anti-drugs Awareness debate addressed by Dr Babiker Mukhayer and social officer Rachel Hassan.
On 26 August 2006 we hosted a large charity evening - in Conway Hall, Holborn in partnership with other voluntary organizations from Sudan to support families of children suffering from renal failure.
The School appreciates the vital support it has received over the years from funders, parents and friends.
The AGM then voted unanimously to pass the educational and financial reports.
The AGM was dissolved by 14.30 hours.
